   SOMETIMES?

   Speaking purely from ur-quattro experience - though the physics are the
   same - I have _NEVER_ seen an ECU without water stains.  Whether it's a
   leak or freaky condensation - they're all stained with evaporation
   deposits.

Yeah, I'll hafta add a half-dozens "second that" . . . although it 
doesn't seem to cause any problems (that I've seen), it surely is
worrisome.
