I was witness to how a good acquaintance of mine hit a pigeon  with the
_steel_ oil pan at 160 km/h. The pan cracked instantly but we managed
not to cease up the engine.

Yes, he drives "like an idiot". He won the divisional "Russian Winter"
in '85.

Since then I have never had a pleasure of riding with anyone who's
driving skill even remotely approached the level of that "idiot". I was
also fortunate to be taught a few tips and tricks by the said "idiot".

That was a very rude reply to the poor gal, pal.

P.S. The Aluminium oil pan design in my factory lowered Sport '98 A4TQ
is on par with the award winning hydraulic system on my '89 200TQ.
