Redline Trans. Oil

Just want to share my experience with replacing my manual
transmission oil with Redline, as some listers have
recommended (Sarge). The stuff pays for itself on cold
mornings. Previously, on a cold startup, the transmission
required a great deal of coaxing to get it into some gears.
The Redline oil has all but eliminated this problem! Cold
shifts are very smooth. Once warm, the transmission is maybe
a little smoother than it used to be. (This is difficult to
tell, as the transmission is rather smooth to begin with!)

I recommend it, especially for those living in the Northern
climates. Cost: $28 for oil, 0.3 hours labor.
(No personal interests, etc.)

On a related note, Blau advertises a gear shift knob:
"Genuine O.E. Black Leatherette 84-95 Audi's with 5 speed."
Is this the same as the original? Did Audi use the same
shift knob for 11 years? The picture looks a little
different, but it is tough to tell.
