I too am suffering from the ABS sensor warning light on my 1988 100AvantQ.
The problem started two weeks ago after the front offside spring was
replaced.  I returned the car to my mechanic and he stated that the sensor
was replaced correctly in its mounting and the problem therfore must be due
to an electrical fault.  After reading the post on tyre replacement I now
find this unlikely.

My question, just what was the solution to get the light to go off?  I have
trawled the archives for the answer, but to no avail.
