I know of three locals. John Robinson is our Treasurer, and has about
195k miles on his (MB) ur-quattro. I lag him somewhat, with 169004
as of today. Roger Galvin has an MB of similar age but only 64000
miles, but he added 750 miles this week alone.

The week after next, F600 JVJ will set off (with no particular
preparation) for France, Luxembourg and Germany - a round trip of
3200 miles.

I took great delight in declaiming at the last Area K meeting that I
would be "laying my ur-quattro up for the summer".

Jeez - what point is there in owning the thing if you don't drive in
the shitty weather? It's what it was designed for. Ein Auto ist ein
Verbrauchsgegenstand.
