We're waiting for parts, Madam

In his infinite wisdom, Galvin forgot to order new exhaust studs for
his WR.  I had six in stock, which left us needing four.

His dealer had none, but found one in a VW dealership across town.  An
eleven-mile drive.

My dealership had none.  Their branch in Corby had none.  Another
branch in Northampton had three - a thirty-mile round trip.

It beggars belief.  I can accept parts delays on exotic stuff, like
a replacement digital dash - but not on bloody nuts and bolts!
