The A4.org people are really cool. I've been to a few of your events.
However, although there are usually 30 or more A4's at an event, that
still represents an extremely small portion of the A4's in the Bay Area.
I would say there definately are enthusiasts like yourself, but there
probably are a larger number that are impressed with the car enough to
buy it, but aren't really enthusiasts.
It's easier to spot an enthsiast in an older Audi. If it's running,
you have an enthusiast. :-) Seriously though, if it's got euros, or
trick wheels, or is really clean you have an enthusiast. Sometimes these
people have not waved back. If they are anything like me, they are
planning when to press the go pedal so the boost peaks right when needed
for that pass, watching to see if the Fiesta in the right lane is going
to pull out in front of you on that steep uphill, etc. They aren't
watching for someone to wave at them and if they do catch it, it takes
them a while to figure it out and by then you are gone.
Guess I'm rambling.
See you,
