I should add one thing... it's been campiagned on the fuel pump relay recall... the\
relay is mounted separately, not in the main panel. I think every VW and Audi that
used this fuse/relay box had a recall to move the fuel pump relay for the same reason.
At least, my 1980 4000 had not been taken in by its original owner; not long after I
sent in the change of ownership cards found in the owners' manual, I got two recall
notices, one for the fuel pump relay, and another for the installation of a steel guard
for the fuel tank.  -dq
