I'm way behind - but if the original poster is still curious:

On my 99.5 it was very easy to get to - just a little tough to actually
see it.  If you look at the box / compartment that the jack/changer goes
in.... there is a wire bundle that runs down next to this box - on the
side facing the front of the car.  The wire bundle is running vertically
past the box... but right at the level of the box, there should be this
little clump of foam wrapped around the bundle - well rip off this
little 3-4" length of foam, and that's where my plug was.  Took me 10
minutes to install the whole thing. (actually the hardest part was
reaching the screws that hold the changer into place).
