Re: More datapoints on my ur-Q

Never heard of that one before!

The idle speed is high, about 1050-1150rpm. And the idle speed
screw on the throttle body has been mangled beyond use. I'll
probably have to drill it out to get a new one in.

I adjust mine to sit around 950-1050, with excellant results (you have
to adjust it a tad high, on cold damp dreary days with lotsa electrical
load on the engine, the idle gets dragged down to "uncomfortable"
levels. (I adjusted my ECU also to target a higher idle-target speed,
850???) Idles wonderfully at all temps and loads!

Anybody know the nitty-gritty on idle adjustment screws? ETKA shows
035.133.432 for the screw and 035.133.144A for the screw w/gasket
   (o-ring?). For the 5ktq, it gives 035.133.432A.

And, anyone got a spare ur-Q idle adjustment screw?

No, but if you get yours out, a 9mm/38-Caliber brass cleaning brush
(available at leading sports and gun shops everywhere) is just the
right size to "chase/clean" the threads -- but don't get overly
agressive with it...on that aluminum...

Lastly, will a long, thin-blade screwdriver work for the CO adjustment on
   the air metering unit?

It's a 3mm (??) hex.

Good Luck!
