RE: gas in CA, RE: Fwd: Gas Out April 30, 1999

You are right, the oil companies bought all the competition out!
What got me is the simple fact that when I go to AZ (on a reg. frequency)
the cost per gallon would drop by $.30.
The fact that the CA gas is cleaner (less sulfur) does not justify a $.30
difference! It is merely gouging! Or if you will "supply and demand". There
is always a way around it..........government regulation.........if the oil
companies want to kill the "golden goose" (us) that is their prerogative.
One thing though we should not allow them (the oil companies) to merge "left
and right" pretty soon we will have a new "Ma Exxon".
Avi
We passed a proposition (in CA) about car insurance (cost reduction) and we
did pass a property tax proposition (cost reduction), is the next
proposition "gas price"?

Sounds like it is TOTALLY dictated by supply and demand, Avi.

You need it, they got it, you pay what is asked.

I think it is the lack of competition that has got you stirred up.
