Central Ca. cars for sale - mine

All, with the addition of my wife's '91 200q I am forced to sell off my 1981
Scirocco S and and my wife's 1989 Jetta GLI.
The Scirocco is a daily driver. I built it up for driving over hwy17 each
day. It is an '81 'S' model. I have every receipt for it and everything I
did is as close to factory as possible. It has a 1988 JH engine. This is a
1.8L, with the 40mm intake valves and has a hydrolic head. It is the same
motor as the early GTI's but came out of a cabrio. Only in '88 and '89
did VW make the JH engine with hydrolic lifters. It has the Neuspeed 268
cam, TT ported manifolds, cam timing gear, 80 mm air sensor plate, TT
exhaust, Neuspeed Throttle body and the factory oil cooler.
The car has Koni adjustables with Neuspeed springs, front and rear swaybars.
The motor is Ca. legal and has the barcode under the hood for smog
inspectors to scan. I did all the wiring with factory wires and color codes.
It has the 10.1 inch front rotors with
Girling calipers I bought brand new. Those brakes were factory on the
Scirocco 16V. It also has stainless steel brake lines. The rear brakes I
just rebuilt to factory specs a couple years ago. The body needs paint and
the radiator support, grill and hood were placed after I rear ended someone
four years ago. The driver's seat has some wear too. The carpet I replaced 5
years ago and is still in good shape. It has the cool Recarro 'like' seats
that only the S model got. It runs great and has lots of life left in it.
The motor has about 100k on it but is in the high
end of the factory specs for compression. It also has H4s and H1s. There are
probably more stuff to it I can't remember. It is supposed to be Circus grey
metallic but the asshole who painted it for me after I had the rear ender
painted it
some grey green. I sued him and won. That's why it needs paint. However, it
does
look good from 15 feet.
I have many spare parts too. Some specific to the 'S' model, like the side
view mirrors and interior components. Some for Sciroccos like a rear hatch
and doors. Other parts that are for A1 VWs in general like cams, a head,
manifolds etc.. The car has Ronal Turbo rims with a matching spare, P700 195
50 15s with 75% tread left.
I'm asking $2200 for it or whatever I can get.

The Jetta GLI is white with black trim. My wife is the second owner. The
first owner was a
female as well. Except for Boge progas shocks and struts and an upper stress
bar the car is stock. It also has a K&N air filter. It is in beautiful
shape. Because it is a GLI it has the bigger front brakes, the Recarro power
seats and power everything. The motor has 120k but again is easily in the
high end of the factory specs. We have taken very good care of this car. At
80K miles I replaced the timing belt, water pump, front seal and tensioner.
Except for the shift knob, hand brake cover and a 1.5 inch tear in the
carpet the interior is perfect. The car has never been in a collision and
there are only a couple small dings in the body. The paint is excellent. It
is the ideal chick car. The only things to go wrong with it in the six years
we've had it is a window regulator I replaced last year and a door handle. I
have an extra dash panel, and two extra tear drop rims for it. It has a car
phone in it with hands off capabilities, one of those wind deflectors for
the sunroof and a very nice Sony deck that is CD ready too.
We're asking $5000 or b/o for the Jetta. I have been anal about caring for
these
cars and one look under the hood will show you that.
Thanks
Anton
