V8 oil leak-  Hello Qlisters, I have a disheartening leak on my 90 V8.  The oil cooler
that is under the radiator has 2 oil cooler lines running into them- the longer of the 2
has a straight metal? part that runs the length of the cooler- it is severely rusted,
most un-Audi-like.  I guess since it is so close to the ground it has been subject to
many New England winters. WELL, it is a dealer only item and the price from
Clair---$420. Probably b/c part of the hose has stainless steel mesh- maybe the whole
hose should be like this. 
Anyway, the leak is coming from the drivers side of the cooler where the hose connects
to the cooler- really rusted. I have found a used-as is- hose for $75 but is rusted as
well.  Someone else has a "good" used part for $310. Shokan, not my favorite but I had
to call, has a used hose for .....$$385!!!! They said the cooler threads strip when you
remove the hoses..so...they could sell me the cooler with the hoses for...$750-OUCH.
