yeah.  NOT arguing for people getting tanked and mowing down the rest of us, but
in many cases the poor judgement in driving with a buzz-on is just a symptom of
poor judgment that is likely just as present without the aforementioned buzz.
sometimes i think the current narrow DWI thinking (all accidents remotely
connected to drinking are due to drinking) help to continue to deemphasize the
importance of judgement, skill, attention, focus, and resposibility when driving
on public roads.  it's america, you don't have to be smart or skilled or paying
attention to drive, just breathing and over 16.  "grab that cell phone and
travel mug kids, it's time to hit the road!"   on that note i saw a car
yesterday with a TV rigged up on the dash, perfectly canted for the drivers
viewing pleasure.
