nope, its transverse, so it'ts not an audi, its the new vr6 with twin
turbos.  you could even see it in a tt in 350hp form according to "car".
makes a change for engines to come from vw to audi i guess..

The engine contained in the Beetle RSi is non other than Audi's twin-turbo
V6. Of course, VW can badge VR6 to it if it pleases to do so. Most say the
RSi has VW's "up-coming" 4Motion AWD trans -- my guess is it's that Haldex
thing? Some magazines say the 4Motion option will soon find its way to
current Beetle's option list before the V6tt (or whatever) will become
available (if ever).
