I believe denatured alcohol is essentially the same stuff they
add to gasoline to make "gasohol".  If your car is pretty close
to passing emissions, this may be just enough to get it to pass.
It worked on my VW Vanagon and I didn't even notice a difference
in performance.  On the other hand, I tried running 20% alcohol
in my Scout.  It still didn't pass and I had to drive it with
the choke out to keep it running.  YMMV.
