The way the properly repair this condition is to remove the door panel
AND top plastic "guide" from the lip at the top of the door. Then you
must reattach the top plastic "guide" properly.
The top of the panel is secured to the "guide" by small metal clips
which are pressed though the guide and into the panel. This kind of
tacks the panel to the guide. (This design must have been by Team
Doorhandle.) You CANNOT get panel to stay in the guide without properly
inserting the clips.
You must then PROPERLY reinstall the door panel. That is, slide the
panel with guide onto the metal lip from the top. Be careful not to
bend the panel while you do this so the panel doesn't pull out of the
clips. Then clip in the sides and bottom.
If done correctly, you shouldn't have any more trouble with the panel.
I had to do this to both doors on my ur q and my CGT because previous
owners or mechanics had improperly removed the panels...
