RE: 200tqw vs 100cs or a6 avant

... I would imagine that the '91 200q Avant would be the more sporting of
the 3 you mention.  The newer cars had options like a 3rd seat in the rear
at the expense of the sloped hatch on the '91.  My personal preference is
for the older Avants as the new ones look too much like Bimmer "Tourings" or
other traditionally styled wagons/estates.  If you prefer the "sporty"
performance and the newer body style you can always look for an S6 Avant.
I've got little experience with the newer styled cars (other than a ride in
Steve & Winny Powers' S6A), but the interior appointments on the 200 should
be fairly comparable in modern feel.
