Considering an '89 200TQ Wagon
Checked it out last Thursday in Boston. Pearl White, Black leather.
Handling is tight. A/C is toast. Exterior is in pretty good shape.
Only exterior problem is a Silver-Dollor sized hole in the skirt below
the rear bumper (how would I fix this, or how much fo the auto body
folks?). Pressure hoses all looked near new, ISV looked older. Tires
looked OK (even wear, 1/2+ tread). Acceleration was excellent.
Owner said multi-function switch is shot, and a new one needs to be
installed. He used this to explain why the temp and oil gauges did
not move from the "all the way down" position they are in when the
engine is off and key removed. Could the multi-function switch
cause this?
What is a fair price for this car, given that a VIN check proves
decent history?
