I've got a pretty warm headlight switch, and i always attributed it to
the little light bulb inside the switch.  I melted the conector on the
back, ithink because i added a few too many bulbs on my gauges. but
that's neither here nor there.  Since i moved the gauge lights to the
dimmer side of the fence, my headlight switch just gets "very warm"
doesnt melt anything, and things seem ok.  i've had the car since 1991
(86 4kcstq) and gone through 2 (i've replaced it twice) headlight
switches.
