measure the resistance of the wire form it's connection point at the
intake manifold (with it disconnected) to the appropriate pin on the ecu
harness plug.  Also try to run a smallish light bulb off current running
through the wire (with it disconnected at both ends!).  If no go, hack a
quick jumper and see what that does, and then try running a new wire
neatly...
