200q Trans-Am car question...
Yesterday evening, while looking at some of the photos I have of Audi's 1988
200q Trans-Am car -- including the 11"x14" Ilfochrome print I just received
from Mike Veglia, which turned out quite nicely -- I noticed that the hood
these cars used was taken from the *non-turbo* version, which has slightly
different styling lines stamped into it.
Although I'm not familiar with the SCCA's homologation rules, I find this
puzzling. I'm also curious as to why they used it in the first place ...
better aerodynamics or what? If anyone has any insight on this, I'd like to
hear it.
Thanks!
