cars mfr'd from '92-'94 will typically be model years '93-'95 due to that idiotic automotive convention we know and love that pretends 'you can buy next year's car, this year, you lucky consumer!'.

part listings almost always refer to mfr. date, not model year date, but recall notices will often refer to model year, since that's all most dumb consumers know about (don't want to confuse the customer with facts).  if Audi released the mfr. date spec on the recall, some could probably save
themselves the trip to have the squirters 'evaluated to see if they have to be replaced' as the dealers are claiming to do.  that sounds like dealer-ese for 'charge AoA recall labor to spend 5 seconds checking the mfr. date on the car' to me.  but who knows, i could be wrong, usually am...
