Recall Bad start Happy Ending (So Far)

I called the local Audi dealer (where I Bought my 93 100CSQwgn in 97) gave
them my VIN and was told that mine was not subject to the KS recall.  I
ended
the call then later called AoA (800 822 2834) gave the VIN and they said it
is
subject to recall then called the dealer and set me up for appointment on
thursday AM.

But what troubles me is that my 78 year old Mom took my 87 5kSwgn to this
same dealer, while on loan to her, in 1992 for an oil change and it came
out
with a cut CV Boot (looked razored not torn). The Hell of it is that I had
replaced
the CV Boots only three months prior.  I am a little nervious.

Does anyone know how the protect against these kind of woes?
