A4 suspension upgrades

I am going to try this again. This cant be too techy a group, I read more 
responses to Audi drivers not waving to each other than I received for the 
following. Please let me have your opinions or actual experiences. Thank you 
to the two who responded earlier. Here goes...I have a 97 A4 2.8Q, 5 speed, 
oem non sport suspension. I am keeping the 16" wheels and upgrading to ultra 
high performance all season rubber. I do not require an autocross or 
competition set up as I am driving a lot everyday but I want to make that 
driving time more fun than it already is. Any info on spring / shock / strut 
changes? Who has what, how has it worked?
