Group- Did you know that the two temp scales cross(are equal) at -40 degrees.
To continue my sharing mode, I will provide you with an easy formula to
convert from one to the other. To convert from deg F to deg C: add 40
multiply by 5/9 and subrtract 40. To convert from deg C to deg F: add 40
multiply by 9/5 and subtract 40. You might think this is not easy to remember
because of the 5/9 or 9/5 factor, but notice when going from deg F(212
boiling) to deg C(100 boiling ) you know the answer should be smaller, so use
5/9. When converting from deg C to deg F (answer should be larger) use the
9/5. As to the 40, you will recall thats where the scales cross. Now should
you first add the 40 and then subtract, or should you first subtract and than
add. Well using values everyone knows, its easy to check. lets convert 212 F
to C. add 40 gets us 252.Times 5/9 gets us140. subtract 40 gets us 100 deg C.
Works every time, and its easy to remember!!
