Glen's USPS Gripe

Glen, et al., the solution is to mail the app info far enough in advance
to ensure everyone gets it by a fixed date, Apps returned prior to that
date are disqualified. This is how PCA does the Porsche Parade entries,
and it has worked for years. No exceptions, and everyone plays by the
rules, and it'll work. The toughie is getting the sponsoring
organization to do it, and to ignore the whiners. BTW, workers always
get in, encouraging volunteerism in the ranks. Apps deemed qualified by
postmark are drawn and when the slots are filled and the alternates
drawn, it's full. You CANNOT sell your place, it goes to an alternate.
Ask the sponsoring organizations to do this. Insist on it.
