RE: Clutch pedal "sticking"

Inspect both the master cylinder and the slave cylinder for fluid leaks. You
can't see the slave with out removing it but you can look for fluid coming
from the bell housing, but it has to leak for a while before it comes out of
the bell housing. If there are no external leaks then it is almost always
fluid in the master cylinder bypassing a seal internally. I personally
prefer to replace both at the same time (if I have the time and money that
is).
Last time I only put in a slave cylinder and two days latter I was replacing
the master cylinder.
Good luck

The question is, is there a way to tell the differance
between the slave and
the master going south? The beater has a clutch that cannot
be held down
for any amount of time without staying down. If I shift
quickly it is fine
but when I hold it it sticks.
