4 vs 5/6 pt harnessbelts
I am about to install a harness for track events (mostly Q-club) in my
89 200tq.
Choices:
1. Schroth Rallye 4 4pt harness, claims to have "ASM-Anti submarine
mechanism" that makes crotch strap unessesary
2. 5 or 6 pt harness from TRS or the like. Have been told by SCCA IT
racers that this is the only way to go for safety (and the only way
allowed in the GCR).
If I was using the car for auto-x, I wouldn't care, but at 120mph, I
care.
Any comments on the validity of the Schroth ASM stuff?
Where would I attach the anti-sumarine straps (1 or 2)?
Is there any difficulty putting a 4pt system in a type 44? I can
just put eyelet bolts at all 4 attachment points, right?
