Sightings!

Hi all, sorry if this is a little long.

I am happy to report that I have seen the first S4 of my life. It was NICE!

A friend of mine and I went into Fry's Electronics in Phoenix the other night to
look at some laptops and I parked in a non-busy part of the parking lot, as I
always do, with my A4.

When we came out, I was initially pissed that a group of cars had parked all
around me, ignoring all of the other open spaces. When I got closer, I saw that
they were all Audis/VWs! There were three A6 cars with the 2.7t engine (cool
badge) in different colours and levels of trim. One of them had the ground
skirts, dam, etc. of the V8 A6, of which I saw a white one driving around town
last week. There was a couple of Passats as well and a beautiful green S4. It
had the badges removed but had all of the other body changes from my 98.5 A4. It
also had the six-speed transmission.

All of the cars carried manufacturers plates and had the D sticker on the back.
They were all also fitted with several antennas and a whole bunch of diagnostic
/ performance monitoring computer equipment inside. I wanted to stick around and
talk to the guys but I had to drive my friend home. I am also disappointed that
I did not have my camera with me. I might take my camera down to Firebird
Raceway to get some shots of these cars moving around.

This year I have been ucky to see several new Audis in Phoenix and Scottsdale. I
have seen several TTs (black, silver, and white), one S4, a black S8, and
several A6s in different trims.

Just wanted to share my sighting and my envy of those of you that have an S4 on
the way.
