Starting problem (no "q" content)

Wondering if some of you may have an idea what the problem is that a
friend of mine has.

She has a 90 Jeep Cherokee 4.0l, that sometimes doesn't start. It seems
to be completily random, but seems like when the wheather is warm it's
worse. It turns over, but it just won't start. If it's left sitting
for a while it usually starts after about an hour or two. Sometimes it
even does it in the mornings before
the engine was not even started, and sometimes it starts well,
regardless whether it had run before or not.
