If you're running a 12valveV6, don't look for a silver cylinder, you won't find
one.
For the 12valveV6, the ISV is located on the passenger side of the throttle body
to intake manifold connection, you will need to remove the top engine cover to
see it. It is a black cylinder bolted directly to the throttle body/intake
manifold.
You can remove it if you are careful. The first step is to unplug the electrical
connector to the ISV, then feel around underneath the ISV (careful if your engine
is warm) and you should feel another connector for some other sensor underneath,
this will need to be unplugged in order to give you room to wiggle the ISV out
once you remove the three nuts from the studs that mount the ISV. There are no
hoses connected to the ISV for the V6-12valve. Once it's out, clean throughly and
reinstall.
One note of caution, be careful not to drop the nuts hold it in place, they will
be a real PITA to retreive.
