Noise problem

I've been having a problem with my '86 Coupe GT for a while now.  There is a
humming noise that seems to be coming from the left rear.  The noise
increases with the car's speed (not engine speed).  I have noticed on the
highway that the noise disappears if  I am able to shift the car's weight to
the right momentarily.  Oddly enough, it comes and goes.  The noise seems to
be triggered and sometimes stopped by sharp turns in either direction.  I
replaced the wheel bearing in December, but the noise came back.  Any ideas
of what else to look for?
