Redline Water Wetter
Regarding the following comments... Redline Water Wetter, according to their
website, was not designed as a coolant enhancer but was developed in
response to circle track racers who asked for something to add to water to
counter the corrosion in their systems as they don't use antifreeze. A
chemist developed it and the racers used it and, much to their surprise,
reported lower coolant temperatures during the races. It was found to have
a surfactant action within the cooling systems... reducing surface tension
therefore making bubbles smaller... effectively increasing the transfer area
of their cooling systems. It doesn't increase boiling temperature of water,
just lets the water completely contact the surface of the cooling system and
transfer heat more effectively. It take only a few ounces to 'treat' an
average sized cooling system. I've used it in street cars... seemed to
work fine. Never heard of coolant not being allow at racetracks.

] Also, does anyone have any experience using Redline Water Wetter.
]It's an addative you add in with coolant and water and is supposed to
]increase boiling temps and reduce overall running water temp of the
]car. Does it really work? Any problems? I'm interested to hear more
]about it and I know that IS available at the local Pep Boys!
