one thing that makes the time delay irrelevant, though, is the welcome
confirmation of early replies (or contradiction of them). It's always
nice to get four or five basically identical responses to a question,
one has more confidence in their accuracy. Of course, delayed replies
are probably better sent just to the original questioner. If one can
figure out who that was, anyway... I've noticed that i sometimes get
carefully detailed direct email responding to a question contained in an
answer I've posted as if I was the originator of the query. Hmmm
