SAVE THE DIGEST! (and cut the M!ME cr*p)

I'll have to vote a big yes to keeping the digest. As others have
already mentioned, it is much more convenient format for those of us
that primarily check the e-mail at work. Not only because I only have a
slow 14.4k bps modem at home, but because my SO doesn't really
appreciate me spending all my free time after I come home from work
playing with the computer instead of paying attention to her. So on top
of all the reasons already mentioned for keeping the digest, I'll just
add that it could cause a mass wave of divorces ;)

99% of Phil's concerns can be addressed if people simply read ALL the
digests in their in-boxes before they reply. IMHO, if people stopped
blindly replying with the whole digest attached and insisting on sending
HTM-M!ME cr@p or JPEG attachments, we wouldn't have any wasted
bandwidth. How hard would it be to implement a filter in majordom* that
would bounce the M!ME posts (with the whole M!ME portion visible like we
get on the digest) or those with attachments along with a quick
explanation on how to fix it? I'm really tired of scrolling thru what
seems like endless posts that start with:
"This is a multi-part message in M!ME format."
and have each line end with a " = ".

Ok, that's enough venting for now, but lately the signal-to-noise ratio
on the digest has been going downhill to the point that I'll scroll thru
half a digest without reading anything because all the junk in there ;(
