Re: 4000 Rear Brakes/Center Bearing Help!

I would like to thank everyone for the timely replies to my request for
information on my 4000 brakes/center bearing problem. I obviously missed
the screw adjustment on the rear calipers, so I'm definitely a "newbie" at
Audi's (pretty good with Porsche's though). I picked up a couple of Weld
nuts, which are basically nutserts in a 1" x 2" x 1/8" plate, that I hope
will solve my center bearing support problem. I should be able to just
put these in place of the square nuts that originally held the center
bearing support on, utilizing the original cage, and bolt right to them. I
will let everyone know how they worked after this weekend.

I am also going to replace the rear calipers and rotors, and probably the
fronts as well. I am looking at a kit from 2Bennet (their "Stage 1" kit)
that includes Brembo rotors, stainless steel lines and minitex pads. They
said this kit will allow me to use 14" wheels, while their "Stage 2" kit
requires at least 16" wheels. Has anyone had any experience with this kit
or with other 2Bennet products? My other option is too just replace the
rear rotors and calipers with OEM.

Thanks for all the advice,
