white paint



the discontinuation of the white pearlescent paint may have more to do with
environmental issues than you would imagine. europe now has very strict
guidelines about paints and their pigments and fillers. they also regulate
the "body" of the paint..that is its solids content...a pearlescent paint is
a thick heavy paint that probably doesn't comply with the new regulations.
try applying a good pearl coat without a high body paint and you get runs
and dribbles or an inferior looking washed-out finish. paint your car now if
you plan to do so, because these same rules are heading to the states and
canada within the next 5 years. btw the best "clears" have a high solids
content...so the clears too will have to be reformulated.
