Has nothing to do with Euro lights. It's an effect of running 
the headlights off of relays, which is a mod often done at the 
same time as a Euro swap.

It would be a simple matter to keep the autocheck. You can 
either:
1. not upgrade to a relayed harness (bad idea)
or
2. extend the power line that goes from the alternator through 
the relay to the headlights so that it can be run back under 
the dash and through the headlight "controller." The wiring 
isn't complicated, but it seems like it's more trouble than 
it's worth, considering that it doesn't take long for an 
attentive driver to notice one of his/her low beams is dead.

I elected to just jumper the headlight "controller."
