Ur-Q Window Motor/Regulator
My passenger door lift has been getting increasingly noisy and slow, and
finally stopped with the window down (Murphy's Law).
I opened the door panel and found that the Regulator? seemed to have sheared
its mount on the door panel and was torquing and jamming the window glass as
it tried to go up. I was able to clamp the motor/regulator with my hand and
activate the lift mechanism and the window closed quite happily.
The question is how is the motor/regulator mounted to the door frame? Is it
a flexible mount? I know that I am being lazy because I should be able to
get a mirror in there to see what's going on. There is a single nut on the
panel side of the door which looks like it belongs to the mounting
mechanism, and it is still attached to a bolt/stud of sorts. I guess this
could have unscrewed from the motor/regulator housing?
