RE: coupe q hydaulic problem any BTDT?
I have heard many different reasons for this situation to occur. In my
case replacing the complete hose assembly from the power steering pump
to the accumulator with a completely new assembly from the dealer cured
my problem. This hose kit consisted of a new hose, internal restrictor
insert (don't have the book handy for it's technical name), and new
fittings. What I believe was the real cure was both of the hose
fittings had fine filter screens integrated into them and they were
partially clogged. It would also be a good time to clean the large
screen filter in the reservoir. Keep in mind that my vehicle is an 84,
so I don't know if your year would also have these fine screen filters
in the two fittings. Let us know what your final solution is.
