RE: Boxster/A8 Brakes Update

Land of the Free home of the brave?
Up here in the Great White North we are always amused at the American legal
system and the litigeousness that it inspires. Thank God it doesn't happen
here. Try this on for size:

Dear sirs, I understand that you make a bracket that will allow me to
securely fasten a set of my brake calipers to my work bench for the purpose
of cleaning and adjusting. I would be very interested in obtaining a pair
of these custom built brackets to use for this purpose. I understand that
due to the nature of the design other uses of this product might be
possible. However, I understand and agree that this is not the design
purpose and that any other use is entirely at my own risk and shall hold you
and your principals blameless for any misuse, abuse or illegal use of the
product.

Somehow I think that is how Smith & What's his name stay in business.

Still waiting to obtain a pair of brackets that will fit my
1990 200TQ 10V Brakes on the bench ;-)

I'm contacting you because you have shown interest in our Boxster brake
caliper conversions (http://www.gatm.com/audi_brakes.html), and we need to
inform you of very recent developments.

It's a sad, sad commentary on our society when innovation is stifled by
fears of our legal system. <<snip - nuff said>>
