big brakes for non-racing use
Well, mine was an educational experience, not a racing one, so no-one
was pushing to bend their pretty toys, and the wheels I'm running on my
CQ may have promoted better cooling than stock Speedlines...
I don't pretend that brake improvements are not necessary or desirable
for racing use (they are both, for our overweight Audis), but I strongly
suspect that Qlisters who have spent more than a handful of hours on the
track in their quattros are a 5% minority, and that many may not be the
same subset who have been pressing the "big brakes" debate.
Can anyone confirm or deny this guess? Any stats on how many listers
actually race their quattros, or are we mainly a debating society?
