This is getting me thinking. Is this switch, the "disable upshift"
switch, the same type/design/style of switch that is used to
actuate the reverse lights?

On my old '86 CGT, the reverse lights didn't work, and I replaced
the big pin switch at the rear of the tranny with a reverse switch,
but it had no effect.

Maybe I replaced my "disable upshift" switch with a brand new
reverse switch, having no effect on my no reverse light problem?
