RE: Engine heater
You could try JC whittney and get one of their engine preheaters that
epoxies to the oil pan, or if you want I can give you the phone number of a
company that we use for preheaters for our aircraft, but they are expensive
(high quality though). The problem with buying aircraft parts though is
that 75 percent of the cost is for the supplemental type certificate that
allows you to use the part. The name of the company is Tannis, I just don't
have their number here at home.

Subject: Engine heater
I am planning to replace my 1987 5KSQ with a newer model and trying to
determine whether anyone makes an engine block heater for the A6's (local
dealer didn't know). This is a device that plugs into household current
when
the car is parked and keeps the engine coolant temperature up. I spend a
lot of time in Vermont during the winter and would like to install a block
heater to keep the engine warm....much easier on start-ups during those -20F
nights plus quicker warm-up. Thanks.
