1990 Audi Quattro Coupe owner needs advice.......please.

Well I finally made it back to the list after the change from
Coimbra.ans.net.

Let's get down to business.
My 90 CQ's idle was running very poorly and I suspected it was a fuel
injector. My mechanic replaced the #3 injector and it ran much better, got
about 3weeks. It then began to display the same problems...poor idling, poor
acceleration, and awful cruising behavior.

I took it to the dealership because my mechanic has been too busy to fit me
into his/my schedule. The dealership said it was my #2 injector. I bought an
injector from Carlsen Audi for $140 (injector had all seals already on) and
installed it. BAM! Instant improvement-smooth acceleration, great idle, and
good cruising. UNTIL, about 3 weeks later...it starts idling funny and has
weird tendencies to surge and kick during cruising and acceleration.

My brother said that when you replace 1 injector you place more pressure on
the weaker injectors, causing them to fail quicker. IS THIS TRUE??????

I would love to hear everyone's input on this rumor. At $140 a piece- 3 more
injectors are going to cost me $420. SHOULD I REPLACE THE REMAINING 3
INJECTORS????

COULD IT BE SOMETHING ELSE I'VE BEEN OVERLOOKING???

Sure I have the infamous fuel pump buzz. But that's normal based on all the
threads I've read on the list RIGHT?

PLEASE HELP!
