I have been on this list for just a couple of months now, and have
gotten instant resposes to any inquiries. If it were not for this list,
I would never have connected with Sargent Schutt, and therefore wouldn't
be driving what is likely the nicest '91 200q in existence, and
certainly one of the nicest cars ever produced.
This fine list has helped me cure problems with power windows,
climate control, and with the thread currently going, new enthusiasm
with the power hidden in the 20v CQ throttle body. More on that after I
set wrench and split ring washer to the butterflies this weekend.
All that said, I have noticed a recuring theme. We all love our
Audi's. We love them more if they are turbos. We love them even more if
they are quattros. We love them even more if they have 20 valves. We
love them the most if they have 20 valves, turbos, and quattro.
But we whine like virgins about them. What was Audi thinking when
they did this or that? Why would they ever think of putting four cats
on the new S4? The door sills are too high on the TT. It's typical Audi
to require these to do that. Of course, that's a dealer only part, so
sell your first born.
Is it just me or am I weird? I know I'm weird, my wife reminds me
daily, but before I got her the CQ now She loves, She drove a 626.
OK, may be three Guinesses are afterall too many!

John Cassidy

'80 5kt (I only bought it on speculation, but drove it 150kmi. That's
where it all started)
'84 4ksq (long gone, but still the best car I've ever owned, squishy go
pedal, wind noise and all)
'91 200q (Nirvana, and we are not talking about the band)
'90 CQ (Risking serious flamage here, I've got to say, at least in stock
form, one hell of a great chick's car)
