No, you can always see the O-springs. The valve stem oil seals _will_
have been damaged, though, and will need to be replaced. In general,
they're so cheap compared with everything else that I never allow an oil
seal to which I gain access to survive. There's a small mound of them
in the back left of the workshop where I keep missing the bin.
