Idle surge after replacing turbo
Just got my 1990 200 TQ back from the garage where they replaced my turbo
and did a timing belt/water pump job.
Turbo seems fine, good boost to 1.4 bars. When first started the idle was
about 1800, much higher than it used to be at cold idle. When warmed the
idle settled down to 1200, still high compared to 800 it used to be.
While driving to work this morning the idle surged to 3000 several times and
was reluctant to come down.
Any suggestions. My mechanic is pretty good but sometimes struggles on the
little odd things.
