New Audi TT
I'm going to New Hamphire International Speedway with COMSCC this Sunday,
and got the following brilliant idea:
I called the local dealer yesterday and talked to the salesman about how
much I still liked the TT, and would like to drive it once more. I asked
him if they were open Sunday (knowing they're not.) When he said no, I
innocently asked if I could borrow the TT for the day for a test drive. He
said it was a possibility and would get back to me. I nearly choked. Dare
I thrash a dealer demo on the racetrack without their knowing? (It makes me
*very* nervous, but yes.)
Eventually he called back to say sorry, but no, because they were also
closed Monday for Memorial Day, and it was too complicated, and the owner's
son was taking the TT somewhere. Bummer.
However, what did come out of the conversation was that a customer was
waffling on buying a silver TT arriving in June, and did I want it. I
plunked down a deposit over the phone and he said he'd call me back by 8
o'clock to let me know. When the phone rang last night I ran to get it and
it was good news. The car is mine! It's on the boat and I should have TT
by the end of June!
Yes! YES! YEESSSSS!
This presents a fabulous buying oportunity on two of my cars. (Stay tuned.)
